I went to the Shimano/Al Linder seminar in Eagan here last night. It was great. As usual, Al gave some great info. It was a FREE seminar. I learned some things to try this season. Best of all, I won a FREE shimano compre rod with a Sahara reel valued at $140.

Any time you get to hear Al, I highly recommend going to see him. I have seen him a few times and his passion for fishing is incredible.

I am ready to chase some smallies if this winter ever ends...

You should be chasing some smallies on the river today if you were a serious fisherman, Chris... smile.gif

I'm off to DC, so maybe I can watch some catches happen on the Potomac this week, still need to try that, too.

My fiancee and I saw Al in Milwaukee this last weekend. He is great, Such a passion for fishing. We talked with him afterwards, Super nice guy and very aproachable. He is my fishing rolemodel. Best true (Contact US Regarding This Word) fisherman and a great guy.

Al's seminar was Friday night the 18th (snow storm) at the Eagan High School. It was a really good show. As I was walking in the front door, Al and his group just pulled up. I said I didn't think he was going to make it with all the snow. He shook my hand and talked for a minute or two before he was rushed in to get started.

I wanted to go so badly but choir practice took precedence, especially since I had to give the choir director a ride. No snow at the church. Darn. If it would have hit the north metro, choir practice would have been cancelled and I could have made it to see Al Lindner.

There's a few seminars going on in Wisconsin this coming month. Wish I had the time to go.
