Handheld GPS Mapping Units

3pronghook

Question

I am going to buy a new handheld GPS. I want one with the mapping features. I plan on using it with the Lakemaster software I already own. I am looking for recommendations on which ones to consider or which ones to stay away from. Price range less than $500. Thanks in advance.

I to would go with a lowrance, if you not conserned about 100% water proof, go with the Ifinder Pro(water resistant), If you want 100% water proof go with the Infinder H20, and if you want 100% water proof and a digital compass go with the hunt. Other then that they are the same. All 3 will work with the lakemaster chips. Good Luck

I run the I-Finder Pro for ice fishing applications and for the money I am very impressed with the unit... the only downside is it is not 100% waterproof... I just use a clear water tight bag for when I am in wet conditions... There are a lot of options out there right now for GPS units, but for the reliability and customer service Lowrance has given me in all my applications I would tell you to give them a shot!! grin.gif
