Walleye

I have fished it a few times with out much luck.. as I am not much of a stream fisherman per say... but I know quite a few people who do fish the river and have decent luck on browns... From my take, I guess a lot of night fishing is done on the White and bigger and better fish are caught during the night time period... But thats about all I know and that it is a beautiful river.....

I fish the White quite a bit, lots of browns 8-12 but not much larger, at least that I catch. Have caught some nice brookies also. I hope that you are not releasing the pike, the DNR really wants them out of the river.

The White River is known to MN/WI trout fishers for one area: the Bibbon Swamp. This area holds some large browns, although many say it's best fished at night with a canoe. They also say that most trout fishermen try this technique just once! smile.gif
