Getting another trailer license sticker

Dragonsm

Question

I shot an email to the DMV a while back and still haven't heard anything. On my current boat trailer, I purchased the "lifetime trailer license" and put it right on my trailer tongue. However, I kicked around the idea of tossing on a swing tongue as it would make a lot easier to store it in one of the stalls of my garage. With the new swing tongue, I also need the sticker.

Does the DMV give you a replacement sticker for the fraction of the cost or how do they work in this situation?

Thanks!

I am not 100% sure but I think they charge $ 9.00 for replacement sticker.

I was at a DMV office one day, and a guy was arguing the lost of his sticker and they made him pay $ 9.00

Here is what I received from the DMV:

Thank you for contacting Driver and Vehicle Services,

A duplicate trailer sticker will cost $9.50. $2.50 duplicate fee + $7.00 filing fee. Please feel free to contact us for further information.
