Valv....The only surface therm I have is in my Bottomline 210. I want to get rid of the lcr, but like the permanent mounted , in-boat, thermometer for surface temps at a glance. I'm fully electrified for both the locator/flasher and for the trolling motors....seperate sources for each. I'd like to find a simple, but accurate unit for 50 bucks or less. Don't know if that is reality, because I've never done any shopping for one.

I know it might sound very, very redneck, but why not get one of these small LCD temp gauges for vehicles, you can find them at any truck stop or auto parts stores.

I had one on my Superduty and the small temp probe had approx 10ft cord, was a sealed unit, always been working great, and I had it on top of roof with snow and raing pounding on it at any speed.

I believe I paid $ 9.99, it had approx 10ft cord, and it ran on a AA battery....forever.

I know I am a redneck....but what the heck.... grin.gif
