This is a great time.

I have been going to Jim W's trout day for a number of years now. I had never fished trout in a stream before attending the first one and I have learned a lot. Jim does a great job organizing this event and there is something for everyone. The MINN AQUA program is great for the kids and the electro shocking is a lot of fun to watch. You would never know there were so many fish in one little stretch of stream.

Be sure to check this event out. Its a good one!

Thanks Dennis!

For those considering this you might want to get some campsites reserved if planning on sticking around to fish on Sunday etc.

Forestville Mystery Cave State Park has sites real close to the river and Maple Springs Campground is just down the road from the park.

Hope to meet some new folks this year!

Good question. I would encourage everyone to do a mapquest.

However, from Winona I would get off INterstate 90 at 74.

Head South on 74 to Chatfield and then Take County 5 South, through Wykoff. Keep going on 5 and watch for the signs on your left.

About 4-5 miles from the Highway 16 and County 5 intersection.

This was from first glance. So there might be another backroad that is faster?

If you have a MN road map you can easily trace my directions.

See you there!
