new member/a possible snow goose hunt??

Recommended Posts

Hi guys. I am new to this forum, but looking forward to meeting/discussing with you guys. I'm from Bloomington, MN and now in school in Madison, WI. I was just wondering if anyone here has a spot open for a couple extra guys for a goose hunt this spring. A buddy of mine and myself havent ever hunted them in the spring so we dont have any land lined up. My friend has a couple hundred snow shells he could bring if needed, i have an e-caller i use for 'yotes and such, I got a bunch of Canada dekes (if needed?)and we both are willing to bust a$$ haulin dekes in and hopefully geese out! We are both finishing up college so we are kinda bound by time constraints. He has spring break from march 12th-20th and i have it the 19th-28th so we are looking to go the weekend of the 19th-22nd or so. We're both willing to skip a day or two if needed. If anyone could help us out with this that would be AWESOME. we plan on going either way, but would rather be with someone that has a few under there belt and willing to decoy. we'd rather not spend 3-4 days jump shooting. So if anyonne could help either post up or email me at [email protected] Please and thanks in advance guys! i look forward to hearing from you.

Dhuth- First of welcome to the site, glad to see you aboard. As far as hunting,I already have a group of 8 going to SD so Im full. If anyone should back out I'll let you know.

As far as hunting it sounds like you and your buddy are pretty much set for equipment to give it a go. If you want to hunt Mn there is a thread going about some guys hooking up and giveing mn a try. You may want to see if you can join them. I personally have been hunting SD for years and plan on doing so again. If you are looking into SD for a option I can give you some locations to try and motel room numbers etc. Gaining permission to hunt land in SD is rather easy if you use common courtesy respect etc. I have been fortunate to establish good friendships with residents and landowners over the years. This has alowed me to get areas to hunt and gain hot leads on other places. If you need any info on SD let me know?
