Vexilar boat mounted transducer

I'm going to use my Fl-18 on my little fishing boat this year. I see the high speed transducers have a mount that seems to screw in to the transom, anyone use any other type of bracket for the transom, I'm not going to put the transducer on the trolling motor, thanks.

You can also use a suction cup type of mount so you can remove it and use on other boats as well. I have done this and it has worked well.

Aluminum boat? How about checking out Vexilar's AlumaDucer. Mount in inside the boat.

I've got an Interphase thats protable with a suction cup. I use this sounder when going from boat to boat to boat. If I go with a buddy in his boat I can use it there too.

a couple of years ago I made a removable mount with a board of polyethylene. I simply attached it to the back of the boaty with one of those squeeze hand clamps. I was afraid of drilling holes in the transom. Finally I figured thats how its been done for years and went ahead and drilled the holes and mounted it permanently.
