30 inch eyes
I am thinking about using my bow for the first two days(I got a license for the a block) I was wondering if any of you have used a blind, and if so which kind.I don't think I need to spend $400 on a double bull, but I looked at the cabelas blinds for about $170 and they look okay. can anybody give me some suggestions on the kind you use and why do you use that particular kind. CornPirateKiller
I've been using a DoubleBull for three years now and would not consider a different brand. I borrowed friends blinds before and was disappointed. They were difficult to set up, noisy and moved in the wind. The first time I got the chance to try the DoubleBull, I was hooked. Light weight, sets up and takes down in seconds, quiet, well built, and the fabric stretches tight over the frame so there's no flapping if a breeze kicks up. I got lucky and bought a used one from my neighbor when he upgraded. If I ever lost it, I'd pay full price to replace it. The cost is a little steep, but well worth it if you plan on owning and using it for a long time.Good Luck!

Hotspotter
CPK is right, double bull is the way to go if you can drop the cash. For deer it's not such a big deal, but turkeys, especially bow-range turkeys inside of 20 yards will not tolerate fabric flapping, even waving in the wind. You work too hard to get them there, only to have the wind and your blind give you up. Joel
beretta
We just got a doublebull for my mom for xmas. She used a friends last year and loved it. It sets up and takes down quick. Plus it has huge windows and a black interior so you can get away with a little more movement...or so they say. I would think it'd be great for introducing a new hunter too. Good luck and let us know what you end up getting.
