fishing??

I am heading out to college in Spearfish next year and i was wondering what i could expect for the fishing seasons. Is there any ice fishing out there? I know you can fish streams and rivers for trout so i should learn how to fly fish. Anything will help, Thanks

I have fished the Blackhills area a few times. There are at least 3 or 4 lakes in the hills that arn't to bad. My soninlaw is from Rapids, and I could find out the names if you would like. He likes to fish, so I'm sure you wil have no problem finding some place to wet the line. CAJ
