Power Pro ICE line

I saw the other post but only saw slight mention of PP ice line. Who has use it? I went to a local sporting goods store today to pick up a auger extension and ended up with a new JR tackle bag (on sale 33%off), some custom jigs, ratfikis, and demons. I was looking at line when the salesman came over and talked me into buying the pp. I usually use micro ice. After I got in the truck I noticed the light blue color. I hae had bad voodoo with the dark blue ice line and hope i didnt just waste the$$ It is 1lb diameter 8lb line or something like that. I walked out much poorer than I went in but I have a trip to red to prepare for.

I started using it this year and really like it.I havnt used it out in the real cold weather so im not sure about freezeups.

I also started using the 8 lb test this year. I use the 30 lb for open water and wanted to check it out. I was pulling in a good size channel cat and I could feel the braid rubbing against the bottom edge of the whole. I had no problem pulling it out though. Certainly helps you fish with confidence.

PP ICE is about all I use on the ice now. Super stuff, love it!

After heavy use you should still shed a few yards from time to time, just to be safe. Before next season back-spool the PP from one reel to another and your set to go for another season of use. The extra cost is worth it because of the extended use and the performance you get.

I also have been using the 8 lb./1 lb. diameter this year and love it. In fact the walleye that is my avaitor pic was caught on Power Pro.
