Probably not going to see any Camaras on sale anytime soon especially with spring around the corner. Unless some place has discountined closeouts. The new Aqua Vu Scout is a great camara for the money at $200.

Wow. I didn't realize the low-end model was so inexpensive. I may just have to buy one of those. I "need" it.

On a side note, why make the camera the shape of a bluegill? What if a large northern or muskie thinks your camera looks tasty.... ?

I have heard of northern making lunch out of cameras shaped like game fish!! Quite expensive to replace the camera, better off buying a new unit. I just bought a marcum camera and it doesn't have the decoy housing. I used my father-in-laws aqua vu this last weekend. He has an old model that also is just a camera, I wanted to try it before I bought one, to see if it mattered cuz i've had people say that it scares the fish if it's just a camera. all day I had fish bumping into the camera and it didn't bother them in the slightest, so I bought a marcum vs 500 and I hope I don't have to worry about a pike making lunch out of the camera itself!!

Picked up a scout last week for 5% off. Not much in savings but paid for the tax. Shouldn't have trouble with northerns biting the camera off with the kevlar cable. I think the sunfish pattern will hold the fish better than a regular camera but we will see.

i have seen alot of northerns in my scout and they never have tried to bite it, rubbed up against it but thats about it
