Hi all, I haven't been out since last Saturday and was wondering if anyone has noticed any change in ice conditions and depth of ice? I am going out today to a private lake that I have drove on earlier this year and just wondering with the temps last week.

The lakes I have been to (metro area) lost all the snow but just several inches of ice.

Be sure to check open water depths at lake access points. Lots of folks were dragging big chunks of ice home last weekend after bottoming out hard at the launch.

There are still people driving on the lakes around here. Ice is still thick. But last time I drove on one of the lakes, a car drove down the middle of the lake and a huge crack formed right underneath me and next to my truck. Nearly soiled my trousers! It didn't take long for me to get home.
