I agree to both sides here.

#1- If this was your secret, secret lake and you were the only one who ever fishes it- just don't post it period.

#2- If this was a popular lake, PLEASE post the info.

This seams pretty simple but the first half of this thread has been bashing you msm1018 and the last half is defending you. To use a popular phrase- Flip/Flop. Sorry... post election humor here.

I'm not sure what I'm getting at, BUT, if you personally feel that the information you had would help somebody else avoid a dangerous situation, it is worth posting. Heck, even GPS coords of the spot are worth posting. You don't have to give up the 'hot spot', secret lure, or anything but the most dangerous place on the lake is worth making public knowledge IMHO.

Im glad you did finally post the spot MSM but if your going to start a post like this you have to know that you will be expected to post the lake for safety sake. I understand that Chub may be where your cabin is and you want to keep the pressure off the lake. But why start the posting in 2 forums and not tell the lake? Im also glad you marked that spot and that is great of you. Im not bashing you or jumping on your back Im just trying to keep people safe! Lots of people fish Chub Lake. Im not one of them but maybe twice a year to take some kids out to catch some panfish.

In the future please remember this experience. Good luck and I hope Chub Lake treats you well during the late season bite!
