Marcum LX3 questions

Hey all.. for some reason I have been noticing that my LX3 is acting a bit strange as of late. I am having a tough time reading my jigs with out cranking up the gain and then it gets so much clutter that it does not seem to be working right. The last few times out it started doing this?

Any one else see this at all.. ?? I might have to call Marcum as see what is going on.

I get that problem sometimes but its in shallow water 10ft or less its all clutter

Look for damage to your ducer cable and make sure the ducer is clean. If everything looks ok, contact Marcum immediately. Seems to be a transducer problem and they have been taking care of these as they come up.

Chunky is right. Same thing happened to mine. I gave them a call and had a new transducer in a day and then had to ship my old one back. Works fantastic now!!

Hey Rusty, could it be related to current? I've been finding as I fish LOW near Kenora, my jig is sometimes carried away and out of "sight". Just another possibility...?

Nope no curent.. I was on long lake last weekend and that was calm and clear and no movement at all and still could not pick up jigs.. even reading the bottom was hard... never shows a red bottom, just faids into multi colors...

I better give them a call.. now I have to find the number.

Ok now Im impressed..

I posted this above topic. This morning I went to Marcums site.. sent off an email to customer service then remembered about an earlier post about 4 pages back.. looked up the number and within 5 minuets I was talking to customer service who was already working on my return for service.. Now that is pretty good.
