Camp Grounds?

Looking for a drive up camp grounds on Vermilion, nothing fancy needed. I just have a pick-up camper but would like electric and leave my boat in the water. Thanks for any info. Good luck

There are a couple of nice campgrounds in Tower Mn. I was there in Sept,Oct. Stayed at HooDoo Point and McKinley Park campground. Both are on the lake. Your also close to downtown Tower and to Fortune Bay Casino and to Soudan Underground Mine. Ely is about a 1/2 hour drive and so is Virgina. HooDoo is right by the airport, which can be annoying at times.

I would like to try Mckinley too, and I do not want to pull my boat out every day. Do they have enough docking? Can you beach your boat and not worry about the wind pounding it? Looks like they have a nice park and boat launch.

They have plenty of dock space there. Nice beach too. You won't have to put your boat in and out. Have a great time there. And your welcome
