GoodToGo
Two weeks ago my transducer broke off the cable while snowmobiling on Pipestone. It was really rough going, I'm sure what happened was I had the cable wrapped tight around the handle of the blue Genz box with the transducer then sitting loose in the interior tray. It must have gotten whipped back and forth pretty good. Since the cable couldn't move it eventually snapped right at the transducer. So I'll be putting some foam or something in the box to make sure it the next transducer doesn't move. FYI for anyone with a similar setup... dsludge
Mine has broke on the other end a few times. Last time it broke there wasn't any wire left to splice. I went to Radio Shack and they found me the correct female pin connector size, wire, and shrink tube insulation to get it up and running again.Did the cable pull completely out of the ducer or is there some wire still poking out the end? If there is, it may be salvageable.dsludge
