Eskimo auger question

I know this was talked about a while ago but I cant find the post,whats the difference between the curved and straight shafts on the eskimo augers?

The curved are very aggressive almost pull you thru the ice the straight blade is less aggressive. I've run a Eskimo with both of these blades before... I'd go with the straight blade myself.

what do you mean they are more aggresive? if I was to get a low hp like a 1.25-1.75 should I go with a curved blade?
