Waht is happening with the rally?

Has the issue died already? I have not heard anything about it anymore. I may have missed stories in the Trib. Any word from anywhere?

I do not want to see this issue pushed aside just to increase paper sales.

April 2nd, 1 p.m., Minnesota State capitol. There is a lot going on behind the scenes, but unfortunately the public has not been well informed...in my opinion. There has been an article in the trib almost every week. Some regarding the rally and some on wetland/water quality issues. A lot of other conservation groups are on board. Dave Zentner out of Duluth has stepped up or been pushed up to lead the charge. We need to get the word out...I have been e mailing different local outdoor writers, but no replies as of yet. I mentioned this at a meeting that the issue has kind of smoldered in the outstate area and I think we need to keep fanning the flame here.

Hey Lumbertick,

I was wondering if you had emailed Jerry Carlson. I know he is a bigtime duck hunter and has a column every week in the St. Cloud Times, you could try emailing him and see if he could write a column about it.

No, but I did e mail Glen Schmidt, who just recently said that he was going to write a column for the Times. So maybe Sunday! I was thinking of putting something in the Newlseader here in town...dumb idea or not? Let me know what you think.
