You need to purchase a dark shelters licenses from any licensing agent (ex. Gander Mountain, Holiday gas stations, etc.) I believe the cost is no more than $12.50.

You will get 2 copies, one for your wallet and one for putting on the house.

My idea for the house sticker: get an old plastic tide bottle and cut out a size that the sticker will fit on. Clean of the piece of plastic and then put it in your fishhouse window.

IF it ever falls out---just look for red, that shouldn't be to hard to do cool.gif

BUT yes, if you are planning to flip it over to cover yourself from the elements, you definately need to get yourself a licenses.

Along with what Capitan said you also need to display your:

Name and address

OR

Drivers Licence Number (Your only 15 no DL yet) (But Soon cool.gif)

OR

Your MN DNR # which will be listed on your shelter licence/fishing licence.

I would look into this a little further, if you are only fifteen you may not need a shelter license. I don't believe a fifteen year even needs a fishing license, so not needing a shelter license would not be out of the realm of possiblity. Call the DNR.

I believe you are right about the fishing licence UN but I would think that a shelter would still need to be licenced. In my opinion (not that my opinion really matters) I view a fishing shelter about equal to a boat. If a 15YO takes a boat out onto the water the boat still needs proper registration.

I don't know but it would be interesting to see what the DNR says about it.
