How does underwater cameras lights affect the fish?

if you do a serach for this site type in Aqua-Vu or Marcum.. you should find a ton of information... I myself dont use the lights much.. I have not had a lot of success catching fish while having the lights on. I have had better luck in down view mode using the lights.. I think it doesnt point right in the fishes eye this way... however all in all, i do best with the lights off... Dont get me wrong, I love to use the camera.. just not at night!
