I have a practically new Clam 6800 for sale. I bought it last winter (2004), used it two times (that would be 2 days)on one trip up north, and I am now looking to sell it. Too hard to haul that around in the back of my mountaineer. The house is in absolute mint condition. It has no holes or tears in it, the poles are absolutely perfect, in fact the paint on the hole covers looks like it did when it came from the factory. The bottom was pulled on the snow, by hand, at the most 200 yards total the two times it was used. I have pictures, but they didn't turn out that great, not that much room in the garage to manuver around it. I bought it last January at GM for $519 and I am asking $425 for it. It has been stored inside the whole time. A new one will run you at least $100 more than what I am asking. I have pictures if you want to see them, or call me at (952) 226-2122. Tom

Tom, I would like to see those pictures of the clam. I have an old style clam 5x6 right now, and am looking to upgrade. How easy is it to set up? Does the plastic bottom seem flimsy or is it heavy duty? Sounds like you got a nice fish house for sale. Thanks.

I'll send them from school tomorrow....ski trip tomorrow with the kids so it might not be until after 3....I wouldn't call the floor flimsy, but I wouldn't call it heavy duty either...the one and only weekend it saw the ice was the weekend last feb. when the temperature was 26 below here at the cities when we left for duluth at 5 am and it was 28 below when we started fishing at 10 am. It stayed flexible the whole time, never got firm or unmanagable. I can set it up on about 2 minutes, but I don't have a problem lifting the poles up and stuff either since I am taller than the ice house is. (6'6" ceiling heighth) I marked the poles with markers so I know where to stop the spreader poles and where to put the arch poles. hopes this helps.
