does anyone use them off there boats ive been thinking of getting one an was curious if you do how do they work?

To be totallyhonest, I use my Aqua-Vu more in the summer/open water time of the year than I do for ice fishing. I think they are great at finding locations on the lake, understanding how to read your eletronics and knowing exactly what is down there... A ton of fun and a great tool to have in the boat with you!

I agree with you DD. I use mine in the summer time much more than I do in the winter. Its great for locating transition zones and structure types. Also works good for finding fish location/movements in the summer.

In the winter I just use it to watch my bait and find the structure im looking for. If I had to I could live w/out in the winter. It is stil a nice entertainer though.

Great thing to have in the boat with kids. They can watch it if they get bored with fishing. Keeps them in the boat all day.

just4fun im trying to carve some ducks its my first try at carving ive got a couple carved but not outfitted with hooks or stuff yet ill probally post a pic when i get some done

Mine are rough cut out of a cedar 2x4. Then I just cut away at them.

just4un how long is your duck overall lenght? mine seem to long to me any way

From nose to tail they are about 3 1/4 inches. The width is the width of a 2 x 4.

thanks mine are way to big like 6inches an out of a 4x4 bass wood im trying some out of a cedar 2x4 now an scaling down my size. guess i can pull them behind my boat. LOL . were do you find the hardware (hooks an stuff you run thru the body? thanks for all the help just4fun

For the hardware, I use either .051" stainless wire or an easier way is to just use 30 poundish braided steel leader material and crimp it. Blade swivels are #2 or #3 ball bering swivels. Hooks are anywhere from a #2 to a # 2/0.

Next time I get to Kato we'll have to get together.
