Crappie Scaler

Has anyone tried those scaling buckets at Mills Fleet. I thnk they're called "cyclone" or something like that. It's a five gallon bucket with a stainless steel sleeve that looks like a cheese grater. It has a curved paddle that goes inside and attaches to a drill through a hole in the top. If you've tried them for crappies and sunnies do they work? or do you end up with grated fish?

I fillet the skin off mine, but my buddy has one and it works really good. I think he said it has a hard time with the real big crappies.

Havnt tried one of those but a metal ice scoop works great just step on the fishes head and a couple of swipes on each side and scales are off.You can do a limit in a couple of minutes just make sure they dont freeze before you scale them.
