0 Moose-Hunter Posted December 28, 2004 Share Posted December 28, 2004 IMHO... Go with a 2hp, Strikemaster, 8". I NEVER a lick of trouble with mine, until it "jumped" out of my neighbor's truck. Started, ran and drilled very well in "fresh" ice and re-opened holes in a flash. Nice and light weight and great on gas. Since the "jumping" incident, my neighbor helped me upgrade to a 9", 3 blade, Ultra. And life only got better.New or used there are good deals to be had.
