stocked eye's

What is the average amount or years between when fingerling eye's are stocked and when they are mature, by that I mean being caught in large numbers? I thought it was a 3 or 4 year period? How much does this vary with other spices?

Mature and being caught in large numbers are not the same. Walleyes under the right conditions can grow 8-9 inches in the first year. You could actually be catching them the in the first winter or next spring in large numbers. Crappies can grow 3-4 inches in their first year with the right conditions. Males and females mature at different ages also.

But typicaly you start seen the fingerlings 3 years after, correct? From what I read it always seems that is what I hear...
