andy j
If you are going to use it in a permenent fish house, it will work well. so you can see in every direction. The big negative is that the camara is very bulky and not a good unit if you are a hole hopper. I have checked out the new Marcum 460 and 560 and in my opinion are the best camaras period. They are spendy but so is the quad 360. Check out the Marcums.
walleyedan
Bobber Tom, I have one and I'll be trying it out tomorrow for the first time. I'll let you know how it goes. I had renters out tonight but they had their own A.V.'s so they didn't need to use mine. It will be perfect for me so the people that rent houses don't have to fight over the camera. If I fail to post, please email and I'll let you know. But I will try to remember!Walleyedan
Long Gray Line
Whichever one you get, it's a blast and VERY educational watching the fish react to your bait. We were out Thursday and sent the Aqua-Vu down to watch. It took a lot less time to figure out what was attracting the fish, what turned them off, what got them to bite, etc, than not having a set of eyes down there. It's also pretty funny to watch how the perch and crappies react just before Mr. Northern swims into the picture!!
Paul Waldowski
Bobber,I have one and so far I really like it. I have only had the chance to use it for a couple of hours so I really haven't had the chance to really give it a good test. I will be putting it to the test all day tomorrow and Tuesday. I will report back how everything goes.
viking_fan
If you are really looking to spend the money to get a quad 360 then you need to ask yourself a few ?'s.1st are you going to use a bigger screen?2nd are you looking to down view?3rd are you looking to see in all directions? There is not the perfect camara yet !!!!But the quad will show four direction at the same time.the down side is the screen is way to small, If you are using a bigger TV with it I would say it is the best you could get.The marcum 560 is about the same price and you can control the camara with a push button, it also has a pan feature to allow you to view all around you.The down side is you are looking in one direction as it spins. The scout is the cheapest out there and you could buy a motorized pod for it to do the samething and you have the downviewing hook on the back. Dennis Steele
I had one of the old Aqua View camera's and now have the Quad 360.The 360 is a bit heavier than the old camera but its no more bulkier. Matter of fact its a little smaller in size than the old camera and only a little bigger than other new Aqua Views. Each "quadrant" of the display is comparable in size to the single display on my old camera also. I haven't had any complaints with the size, and still can easily see any fish that comes into view. Each of the 4 camera's swivel so you can also use it to downview in all directions.I think its a great tool for ice fishing. I get a kick out of being able to see in all directions at the same time. There won't be any fish sneaking up on your bait!
