hummingbird flasher

Question

I have an old hummingbird flasher that I would like to use for ice fishing. I was wondering what battery options I have instead of using a heavy car battery. I tried a 6 volt battery (rectangular shaped one)and it didn't budge. Do I need a second 6 volt battery and parallel them together?

Bucketmouth,

You can take 2 6 volt batteries and wire one positive to the other negative an then take the pos lead off of one battery and the negative lead off the other battery and wire them to your finder. A couple of things with this, is they don't last very long and it can get expensive replacing batteries all of the time. Your better bet would be to go with a 7 amp 12 volt like this one
