M_komo
Blackwell report 12/24/04...COLD and small! Yep, -5 when I left the house. Met no catch em don. There were about 5 other anglers out. We were all (Contact US Regarding This Word)! Plenty cold, but easy on the wind. Sun came up and made it a little warmer. Holes froze quick. Cold front gave em lockjaw, but did manage a few small, small fish. Kept punching holes and moving, fishing pockets in the weeds, from the channel south. Not much going on. Called it quits by 1000AM. Still nice to get out. Gave the gear a run through before eagle river next week. Lost no catchem metal scooper down an ice hole. Best part of trip was chili and coffee at the BP Amachoke. Great chili!
Bob Horn
How thick was the ice? To bad the fish were dinks. Warmer weather this week, not good.
M_komo
Plenty of ice. Some 4 to 5 near channel. Up to 7 on south bay. Easy to find fish, harder to find bigger fish.
