Ice on Twin Cities Lakes

Anyone know how the ice is in the south Metro? I was hoping to hit Prior Lake this coming weekend.

There where a few guys out in a couple bays, so I heard. I heard it was 4-5 inches of good solid ice.

I was fishing south of there and the lake I was on had 5 solid inches.

I was on Prior last night...4-5 inches and quite a few people with portables out there. Even saw one guy putting a permenant house out. We went out on the north end off 42. There appeared to be some open water out past this one island (I'm not that familiar with the lake, I went with a buddy who fishes Prior a lot), sorry I don't know what island it was. I don't think you'll have a problem next weekend.
