permanent house plans

Anyone have any build plans for a permanent house? I haven't built one for 15 years and want to do it right this time. I don't want to design it as I build. What things would you do different this time, if you were building a new house?

I build a few each yr. Everyone is different and unless you built a number of them some of it's going to be design as ya go. Get as much of the design as you can on paper then go from there.
