Whitefish

Anybody out there know where whitefish can be taken with tackle? what are some baits and locations this time of early ice?

We've caught a few in 19' this week here in Bemidji. They are thick around this area, Leech, Red, and Bemidji are all good areas. Wire wrapped jigs are it if you're actually targetting them. We always catch some on Phelps glow spoons while jigging for 'eyes.
