gspman
Is there a good post somewhere on the in's and out's of spring bobbers or can someone "enlighten" me in this thread? This may seem basic to many but I've never used a spring bobber ever but I've read some posts which have convinced me I should have and use them. Are there snap-on spring bobbers that you can put on and take off without cutting your line? If yes, are these of decent quality or should I just suck it up and get one's that are a bit more permanent and just use it all the time. Is there a time when a spring bobber would decrease you effectiveness? Any product/brand recommendations for these? Thanks in advance.gspman
MinnetonkaRealtor
I've used the cheapy metal ones for a while quite effectively. It is like a thin flat piece of wire that has a loop at the end of it. I have it electrical taped to my rod, which is permanant, but not really. The only time it is a problem is when you're fishing outside, and the line freezes to the ring. Otherwise it works perfect, I won't fish with a typical bobber anymore, but I like active fishing, not everyone wants to hold onto their rod constantly...
