charter service

been thinking of going to duluth for some salmon fishing. does anybody know of a good charter service? is it the wrong time of year? thanks snowking

There are a number of good charter boats/captains out of Duluth/Superior. My personal favorite is Capt. Steve Johnson, Hard Times/Lake Superior Fishing Charters. Went out on this boat a couple weeks ago and caught close to a limit of lakers, all 5-10 lbs. with one coming in at 17 lbs. Don't know about the salmon fishing, but I'm guessing they might be biting.

Do a search for "Lake Superior Fishing" on any of the major search engines and you will find links to the above and many other charter operations.

Hard Times is good. End Of The Line has a charter and is also a mod here at FM. Both are in the Duluth Harbor. WorkKnot Charters out of Knife River Marina. You cant go wrong with any of them. Call ahead, the Lake Trout season closes end of this month.
