I'm a displaced Illinois Valley native that grew up fishing saugers on the Illinois River from Starved Rock to Spring Valley. Now that the ice is going to start forming up here in Minnesota, does anybody have a fishing report from the Illinois River so I can dream about fishing in warmer areas?

I think the river is a little high right now but should be in good shape pretty soon. The fishing in Illinois was slow this year compared to others. Sorry I could not give you better news but your in the right place for walleyes. Minnesota !!!
