SartellMN
I weigh almost 300 lbs. with all of my equipment (most of it is me). I don't want to get a short 2-person stand, but I am worried about the 300 lb. limit on most tree stands. Any suggestions/brands to avoid? Is anyone else in this situation, and how do you deal with it? Any mistakes/accidents?
BigDaddy
I hear ya. I go 335 buck nekkid. I've only used permament stands.I'm sure that most stands on the market will hold a lot more than 300. They only test and insure to 300 because it costs them less than doing say 350 and covers 99% of the population.
Satchmo
I was in Gander in Forest Lake the other day, and they have 16ft two man stands that are rated up to 500 lbs. for around 200 bucks. Looked pretty decent.
