Avatars & posting pics

If you use shutterfly you may not be able to post a pic or use it as a source for an avatar because the links to images are not direct access links to the actual image file. You need to have direct access to the image. One free site that allows this is ofoto.com which is a Kodak company so should be trustworthy. I used shutterfly and could not post a pic but when I switched to ofoto I could. This is not an endorsement of ofoto.com, just a statement that it worked for me. Good luck.

What you need to do (easy way) is send yourself the picture from shutte**** and it will come in JPEG form - then right click properties and he URL is there...

I don't think Ofoto works. The person posting the avatar or picture can see their pictures but I don't think anyone else can. Shutterfly does not work either if posting directly from the site. www.afreeimagehost.com has been working well. Also on this site you can resize your picture for avatar.
