Hunting the Superior Nat'l Forest

Recommended Posts

I have heard reports that logging trails that we use to access deer stands from are no longer usable by ATVs. This takes several stands out of play if it is correct.

Can anyone help explain the rhyme or reason to to taking these trails out of ATV use?

"Someone" said that it doesn't apply to deer season. That doesn't sound right.

Can anyone help straighten out any new rules that apply to the area for logging trails and ATV use?

Check out the Superior's HSOforum web page

They have a link to a page about their new OHV policy with some really nice .pdf maps. These new rules do apply to deer season and all other seasons for that matter. Hope it doesn't mess up too many stands. I'm pretty sure this applies to the Chippewa National Forest too.
