Just a geneeral questio on spinner baits. Even thought I have been doing real well on cranks just a basic question.

When do people(under what conditions) use a single blade spinner bait. I know to stick to willow when clear water, color muddy water etc.

I mainly use double willow for everthing. I just am at a lost to when to use a single colorado spinner bait.

thanks the addict

i really don't know. however i have only used double willow and nothing else. it seems to work fine for me. i would think that you would use them on clear water. because they would be less likely to "scare" the fish. (less noise and flash) but i am only guessing.

In situations where you want more vibration.. a large single colorado spinnerbait puts off the most vibration... These situations would be muddy or very stained water. I would say for most situations I myself use tandem(colorado and willow combination)... But I do have spinners with both double colorado.. double willow..single willow and single colorado...

I have actually caught larger fish on a large single colorado blade reed runner than on other spinner baits. I like the single blades because they do not seem to catch as much grass going through the weeds.
