TurkeyNateDog
Where's the formal announcement? Anyone hear anything solid yet?
Fergus Mor McErc
I picked up an OVS 560 last week at Bass Pro Shops in Fridely. I had my name on a list there since September and they called me last Tuesday. I picked it up that day after I got off work.I've tried it a couple times and it works great! I put it in nineteen feet of water off the dock in the NE corner of Lake Calhoun an hour before sunset and got a beautiful picture, without the lights on, but didn't see anything down there. I also hung it off the side of the boat while I was duck hunting, up north, last weekend. At 4:30 in the morning it looked like daylight (within the lights range of illumination) when I turned on the lights. I only saw a perch and a bunch of minnows. The rotating camera is really a nice feature. It will also auto-pan at three differnt speeds.
TurkeyNateDog
That's good news! It's about time! What would you say the lights range of illumination is? Thanks!TN
Fergus Mor McErc
I'm not certain about the illumination range. I've never used one of these things before so I have nothing to reference it by. I don't think ten feet would be too far out of line. Something like five to ten feet seems about right. Someone with a better eye and more knowledge, perhaps, can give a more certain answer.
