Houston County by tent

I'm going to be down there turkey hunting. I'm tent camping, and ain't to proud to stay in a state park. Any suggestions? I kind of like those hundred yard, hike-to sites away from the hook-ups.

Don't know when your turk season is, but we always stay at Supersaw Valley near Spring Grove. They don't open til the first Friday in May, though. They have nice tent sites behind the hook-up area, some are right on Riceford Creek, which has trout. They are super people and will let you clean your birds across the road from the campground. They have without a doubt the nicest and cleanest bath and shower room you will ever see.

I highly recommend Dunromin'Park Campground near Caledonia. A lot of us hunt turkey round there and last year our party took a 29lb'r. The owners are great. Look them up on the internet.
