I would be very interested in an insert. I would like to know a couple of dimensions if possible. I wouldn't want to waste your time.

How tall is the firebox portion that is actually inside the fireplace?

And...

How wide is the firebox at the back end?

Here are the dimensions for the part that fits in the firebox of the fireplace. All measurements allow an extra 1/4 inch.

Rear width 28 3/4 inches

Front width 31 1/2 inches

Heighth 23 3/4 inches

There is a trim piece that covers each side (8 inches) and the top (10 inches).

Weight is approximately 450 pounds.
