Iceman 73 or trailer light help?

Lip RIPPER!

Question

Iceman, did you ever get your lights working? I just pulled my new boat home last night and my lights did the same thing. I had turn signals and brake lights but no tail lights or side lamps. It also blew the same fuse in my truck twice so I drove home with now tail lights or dash lights on my truck or tail lights on there either. As soon as I pluged the trailer lights into my truck, it really drained the electrical system. Any suggestions?

Lip Ripper,

You wouldn't happen to have a Shoreland'r trailer? I have several buddies (including myself) that have had that problem within the last year or two with a Shoreland'r trailer.

We've all solved it the same way. Rewire the entire trailer. Well one guy got lucky and did only one side and cured the problem.

Man, I hate trailer lights. Next time they go out, I'm taping flashlights to the frame and putting red celofane over them.

Yep, Shoreland'r trailer. 2003 model. I am so ticked off that I might bring it back or have them make the 2 hour drive to re-wire it. I hate messing with that dump, Does anybody know of a quality place I can take it too? I'm sending the bill to the marine place I bought it from when it gets fixed. Ridiculous! Anybody else have the same problem?
