Lac Seul and Surrounding Area Sattelite Images

Recommended Posts

In response to my earlier post in the "Secret Boat landing" topic, I have been deluged with emails wanting the sattelite imagery...lol

I guess I never thought anyone else was as geeky as I was when it came to finding remote logging roads that can lead me to hidden lakes in NorthWestern Ontario.

So, in response to all these emails, I am making an overview ( LO-REZ ) index map so folks can tell me which one(s) they want.

Again, these images are in color. They show forested, de-forested, sunken reefs, rapids on streams, sandy shorelines, and a lot more things if you know how to look at them.

Each image is about 3 meg and requires NO SPECIAL SOFTWARE to use. For you technical guys, they are about 3200 Pixels wide by 1600 pixels high. If printed, each hi-rez image is 44.444 inches wide by 22.222 inches high. Each image covers a geographical area of 22 statute miles by 11 statute miles.

The areas I have acquired range roughly from:

A line 50 miles SOUTH of DRYEN, ON
to
A line 250 miles NORTH of PICKEL LAKE, ON
to
A line 100 miles WEST of RED LAKE, ON
to
A line 50 miles EAST of SAVANT LAKE, ON

Some of the major lakes covered are:
-ALL North and South of Lac Seul
-ALL Lake St. Joseph
-All Windigo
-All CAT LAKES
-All Pipestone river
And... MANY MANY MANY more I dont have time to name.

Again, if you are serious about this stuff, I will answer all your emails. Just give me a little more time to get the index done so you can tell me what you need.

I know how much I enjoyed the use of these documents. I used the images to navigate a maze of old logging roads to find a lake that I could put in at. Sure enough, I got into a little 2.5 mile long lake, near Lac Seul, with my 16 foot lund / 25 h.p. and proceed to catch 100's of pike in one afternoon. It was MAY and we caught 4 pike that were 45-47.5 inches. Yet, they only weighed in at about 25 lbs each, there fat was all gone from the winter. Just imagine what they would have looked like in September...lol

Please dont ask me to tell you where the lake is...lol If you find it using the maps, I will know b/c I will probablly be there..lol

Thanx for your interest,

Joe
