ironrangewalleye
I looking for suggestions on lakes that support 20+ pound lake trout. Could be fly in or I wouldn't mind taking my boat. Thanks in advance for your input.Pete

Labby
Lake Athapathaskow near Flin FlonDrive to lake about 500 miles north of Winipeg. Northren Spirit lodge in Cranberry Portage Mantobia is a great place to stay. Greg an Michelle are great people. Last time we got a few lakers over 40 inches. I believe the lake record is a 64 pound fish. All CPR for lakers over 24"
Xplorer
Nipigon. But word is you can only expect to get out on the lake about half the time due to weather. About 1.5 hours from Thunder Bay.Xplorer
WallEYES
I'm with LABBY, I stay at Paradise lodge. The biggest I have caught up there is 38 pounds, but have seen one caught at 43 pounds. I usually go when Flin Flon has there trout festaval the 1st or 2nd week in June. I usually take the 20 mile boat ride to dead mans reef area and Mackinzy Point. Don't overlook Pickerel or Crusher bays for some big walleyes up to 14 lbs, also deep areas after passing thru tin can narrows in the main lake basin can get you some nice trout early in the year. WallEYES
Forgot... Get yourself a Dicover Manitoba book and go thru the master angler area ....they list weights or lenghths if realeased, along with the lake caught out of.
