Catmendo
The Fall Run on the Lower Red is starting to pick-up speed. Now that the cooler temps have arrived and the water temps are sitting in the low fifties, there are more and more 'eyes showing up!I've been predicting all along that this year's run had great potential and although it's still early, I feel that we'll get some very interesting reports at the conclusion of the weekend. There was some double figure fish reported yesterday as well as today, it will only get better. This up coming week should or at least could prove to be very interesting, time will tell.Fish "Hard" Forever! Guest
Sounds encouraging Stu. I thought the weather we have had this past week would stir there bellies soon. You may see Big Shanon real soon, but I doubt I can swing it.------------------Backwater Guiding "ED on the RED" [email protected] 701-281-2300
Catmendo
That's too bad Ed, my gut feeling is we're in for some serious action this fall. There was some good ones caught yesterday both on cranks and jigs. One old boy caught a 6#, 10# and a 12#. Naturally all were released.I'm also aware of some other trophies that were caught. One of my guys dropped a double figure when it rolled & shook on the surface just out of reach of the net. This has happened to me off and on. Although the intention were to release her, it still leaves you with that pit in your stomach when that happens, I hate it!I'm confident that this up coming week will be productive and the reports positive. I will personally be getting out a couple of times this coming week and I'll post my reports as it happens.Fish "HARD" Forever!
Guest
Believe me Stu, If I could, I sure as heck would.I share your hunch it will be a solid time to work some big fish. So that will weigh on my mind heavy the next week or so.Try to keep them Piggy's in the river tell the end of the month for me. Close the gate behind them or something Eh. With all that chow on hand I think they will hang in there, I hope so anyway.Maybe then we can toss a pizza in the Sportsman's Heater and wonder out and talk up a hog?------------------Ed Carlson
