Fishin in the city of London on the Thames River

Recommended Posts

I have just recently moved to london from rochester MN. I have seen this river many times, and have seen many people fishing from the shore. What kind of fish does this river hold? Hopefully not just a whole bunch of carp and suckers. Prayin for some real fish! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance

Born2Fish, we actually have a gentleman from England on board as staff here at FM.com. He goes by the handle, 'englishsteve' and is a moderator on the carp/roughfish forum. I'm sure he would be happy to let you in on the fishing scene in the areas you speak of.

He might see your question here, but if you post this question down on that forum, I'm sure you will get a reply from him. Those European folks are into their Carp, and englishsteve is a bigtime Carp guy himself, but I've seen him also speak of Pike fishing over there too.

Give him a shout....Fisky

Try to hook up with one of the Zander clubs that have started up in the UK since the introduction of this fish, largest member of the perch family (same genus as walleye) and they can go to 30lbs.

Good fishing!
