walleye fishing

Recommended Posts

Fishanytime,

Whitefish Bay = slow, but some good size. Yellowgirl Bay = more in numbers, but lesser in size. They are fishing deep reefs in Yellowgirl. Early July they were transitioning from ledges/points out to the reefs.

fishanytime,

I must admit, all I've ever done for the eyes is jigs and spinners. Never tried pulling raps or any plugs for them...I know I've seen some hogs caught on them though.

Just returned mid week from fishing walleyes and found the bite improving as the weather heated up. Walleyes and jumble perch were at 20 feet on the reefs and some suspended above that. Great bite early in the week on minnows.
