I'm looking into taking the old man on a walleye fishing trip somewhere in Southern Manatoba. Anyone have any suggestions or good past experiences to share??

I have fished the Winnipeg River near Pine Falls in October. The fishing was excellent! Good eaters mixed in with some trophies.

Don't count out the Red River in the spring either. The very first part of the season until about the 1st week of June can produce some sumo greenbacks, mostly near the end of main close to the lake. I know I will be there on the 10th May when the season opens.
