Walleye -vs- Sauger

Caught a fish Friday at Sterling, I'm pretty sure it was a Sauger, but not quite sure. It had a more definate band of stripes, and a white spot on the lower tail fin. Never caught a sauger before, but I don't think this was a Walleye. Anyone know of a definate way to tell these apart?

Sounds like it must be a saug-eye,with the white spot like a walleye.

Looked at the fish I.D. on the D.O.W site, and my fish was definately a walleye. Never caught a Saug-eye before( hear they're quite tasty!) but heard there's lots in sterling.
